Shayla Hason is a photographer and musician living in Portland, Oregon. She received a BA in cultural and interdisciplinary studies from Antioch College in Ohio, and in 2006 was awarded a Caldera Arts Residency in Oregon. Her photography has appeared in numerous magazines such as Oprah, WWD, ANP Quarterly, Arthur, and Sound Collector. Shayla’s frequent travels and investigations are documented in Adventures in High Contrast Living, a photozine she has been producing since 1999. An unrepentant bookworm, she was delighted to be included in the Vice Photo Book, Bedroom Rockers, and Young Sleek and Full of Hell: 10 Years of Alleged Gallery.
